Lili immigrated to the U.S. from Colombia at the age of 17, not speaking English. Despite this challenge, she pursued higher education and earned a degree in Business Administration from Southwestern Adventist University, followed by an MBA from the University of Colorado and an executive degree in Global Leadership and Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School.
Her professional journey began with a 10-year tenure at Johnson & Johnson, where she pioneered multicultural marketing efforts for the pharmaceutical sector and co-founded the Hispanic employee resource group “HOLA.” This role marked the start of her dedication to leveraging cultural intelligence to drive business success.
In 2010, Lili co-founded CIEN+, a marketing agency, and CulturIntel, a market research tech firm. These firms offer proprietary research, business strategy, and inclusive marketing solutions to brands seeking to accelerate their impact in today’s diverse world. Her clients include prominent Fortune 500 companies such as Google, GSK, J&J, Kellanova, Kroger, Merck/MSD, and Prudential.
My drive is life. It doesn’t take a special skill, a title, a position in a company, or anything. It just takes two things—generosity to offer that time, and compassion to put yourself in the shoes of whoever you want to help. The opportunities to have an impact in this world are all around us. Lili is one of the few Latinas serving on a Fortune 500+ public board as an independent director for Zumiez and RCN Television. Additionally, she chairs the FRIENDS of the National American Latino Museum and serves on the Operating Executive Board of AUA Private Equity Partners.

Lili is a sought-after global speaker, known for her TEDx talk “Diversity is Overrated,” and a regular business commentator on networks such as Fox News, Fox Business, and CNN en Español. She has been recognized by Harvard University, Forbes, and Fortune magazines for her unique application of AI and Cultural Intelligence in shaping C-suite strategies and creative campaigns.
